The George W. Bush School of Problem Management

The best defense is a good offense (unless, of course, the offense is incompetent)

Idealogues must hire only idealogues because any contrary ideas are just plain wrong if not immoral.

Idealogues are right by definition, therefore they don't have to solve their own problems because there will be none - therefore they will spend a lot of time solving your problems in a dictatorial fashion.

Accuse the other guy of doing what you have done before it goes public.

Never underestimate the power of the BIG lie (weapons of mass destruction took us to war).

Never underestimate the power of the little lie ("I never had sex with that woman").

Lying will make it so.

Choose names for legislation that have emotional appeal, especially good if the legislation does the opposite of the name (Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind...).

If you are about to do something that will be unpopular or that is a reversal from a previous stance, find a catch-phrase and use it on the other side before doing it - first impressions are almost impossible to reverse (example: cut and run democrats)
